Powersports PASS Program (Powersports After School and Social Program)
Participant Behavioral Expectations
While participating in our program, each and every child will be asked to adhere to a certain set of guidelines to ensure that the rights of everyone are respected. By adhering to the rules, we will practice respect for each other, for the facility, and for ourself. Should it become necessary to correct a student, the staff will do so in a manner that Follows the P.A.S.S. Program's behavior management plan.
- Verbal and/or physical abuse of any staff member by either students or their parents can result in immediate dismissal.
- Students and staff will observe the Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
- Students will remain with a staff member until either a parent or an authorized person comes for them or they are sent to a class.
- Students will follow all directions given to them by the staff.
- Students will play in areas of the facility designated by the staff.
Powersports Behavior Management Plan
The P.A.S.S. Program's Behavior Management plan will be an ever-changing policy. We will work with you and your child to develop a plan that will work the best for everyone. We will also strive to remain current with other childcare professionals and the approaches they are taking. Behavior management will never be associated with food, resting, or toileting. Drinking water will be freely available to all children. The following are examples of the approaches that will be used:
- Verbal Warnings: Used as the first consequence. We will speak to the child privately about the behavior shown.
- Time Outs: Used as the second consequence. The child will be placed in a quiet area not to be disturbed to think about his/her actions.
- Creative Consequences: Used as the third consequence. Something other than a time out (picking up beads, organizing markers, writing an apology, etc.)
- Parent Conferences: Used as the fourth consequence.
